CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Duke punched its ticket to the 2026 NCAA Division I Softball Super Regionals on Sunday, May 17, after winning the Durham Regional title this weekend.
In just its ninth season as a softball program, the Blue Devils earned their fourth regional crown and another trip to the NCAA Division I Softball Championship Super Regionals.
Duke went 4-1 at home in Smith Family Stadium, defeating Howard, 10-1, and Marshall, 11-1. The Blue Devils suffered their one and only loss of the regional on Saturday, May 16, falling to Arizona 10-1. Duke responded Sunday with back-to-back wins over Arizona, 8-6 and 9-4, to secure the regional championship.
The Blue Devils will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a best-of-three series against the No. 5-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks. Super regionals for the championship will be held May 21-24.
The winners from each super regional will advance to the NCAA Women’s College World Series from May 28-June 4/5 at Devon Park, formerly the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
