CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The seeds and lane assignments have been set for the 2026 ACC Rowing Championship, scheduled for May 15-16 on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina. Stanford, ranked No. 2 nationally in the latest Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll, has earned the top seed in all five events.
Seeding was determined by a vote of the league’s head coaches.
Last year, Stanford captured its first-ever ACC Championship in record breaking fashion, setting grand final records in every race. Riding the momentum from the ACC Championship, the Cardinal went on to win the national championship, the program’s third title. The ACC sent a conference-record four teams to the NCAA Championships, with Stanford, California (9th) and Virginia (10th) all finishing within the top 10.
The 2026 ACC Rowing Championship will begin on Friday, May 15, at 8:05 a.m. ET with the Third Varsity Eight heats, followed by the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Second Varsity Four. Each event will feature two heats.
On Saturday, May 16, the Petite Final will be held prior to the Grand Final of each event, with action set to begin at 8:05 a.m. ET. The order of events includes the Third Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Four, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight.
The ACC enters the postseason with seven teams in the latest CRCA Coaches Poll, tied for the most among all conferences. Following Stanford’s No. 2 ranking, California is No. 6, Virginia is No. 8 and Syracuse rounds out the top 10 at No. 10. Duke (No. 14), Miami (No. 15) and North Carolina (No. 23) complete the ACC contingent.
ACC Network Extra will provide live coverage of both the preliminaries on Friday and the finals on Saturday. Admission is free for fans attending the championship.
