The Season Starts in Charlotte: ACC Announces 2026 Kickoff Attendees

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (TheACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference college football season begins in Charlotte as the ACC welcomes all 17 head coaches and more than 50 of the league’s top student-athletes to the 2026 ACC Kickoff, set for July 15-17 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown.

Each summer, ACC Football Kickoff turns Charlotte into the center of the college football conversation, bringing together coaches, student-athletes and media from across the country ahead of the new season.

ACC Network will provide live coverage each day beginning at 9 a.m. ET, delivering the extensive coverage across the three days.

Entering its 74th season of football, the ACC continues to build on a tradition of excellence on the national stage. Over the past 13 seasons, the conference has placed a team in the College Football Playoff or BCS National Championship Game 10 times, including Miami’s run to the CFP National Championship Game last season.

The ACC has also demonstrated unmatched depth, placing 11 teams in postseason competition (CFP and bowl games) in each of the last three seasons—the longest such streak by any FBS conference. The 2025 season marked the eighth time since 2014 that the ACC produced double-digit bowl-eligible teams.
