CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – With the 2026-27 athletic season underway, the Atlantic Coast Conference and SiriusXM announced the annual Fall Sports Season Preview series, airing across multiple days this August on SiriusXM ACC Radio (Channel 371). All four fall preview shows are available now featuring men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and field hockey.
This is the third-straight year the ACC and SiriusXM have partnered to produce fall sports previews. The ACC is the only league to highlight multiple fall Olympic Sports on its SiriusXM channel.
Hosted by Glenn Crooks, Denton Day and Mac Podraza, this all-access series features interviews with head coaches and insight across ACC women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball and field hockey.
Each preview show will re-air throughout the week and be available on demand via the SiriusXM app, with highlights and clips shared across SiriusXM social platforms.

During the past academic year, 14 different ACC institutions captured conference championships. ACC teams also won seven national championships, while eight additional ACC programs finished as national runners-up. Over the last five years, ACC programs have captured 36 NCAA team championships in conference-sponsored sports - the highest five-year total in the league’s 73-year history.
Women’s Soccer: The 2026 season is underway, with the ACC placing a nation-best eight teams in the IWSOC/United Soccer Coaches Poll, the most among all conferences. Three ACC teams hold the top three spots, with Stanford at No. 1, Duke at No. 2 and Florida State at No. 3. Since 2019, the ACC has sent 16 teams to the Women's College Cup, the most among all conferences. The next-highest total is five.
Men’s Soccer: The ACC men’s soccer season is slated to kick off on Thursday, August 20. The ACC leads all conferences with four teams in the Preseason United Soccer Coaches Poll. NC State leads all ACC programs at No. 2 and is followed by Stanford (No. 9), Virginia (No. 11) and SMU (No. 15).
Volleyball: The 2026 ACC volleyball season is set to begin on Friday, August 21, as Louisville, Pitt and SMU open the season in the 2026 AVCA First Serve. The ACC has five teams ranked in the AVCA Division I Volleyball Preseason Poll, led by Pitt at No. 4 and Stanford at No. 5. Louisville (No. 7), SMU (No. 11) and North Carolina (No. 19) to round out the ACC’s representation in the top 20.
Field Hockey: The 2026 campaign begins Friday, August 28, with eight matchups on opening day. ACC preseason favorite North Carolina, which is coming off its 16th trip to the national semifinals in 17 seasons, headlines an elite group again in 2026. Last season, the ACC once again sent a national-best five teams to the NCAA Tournament. It marked the 12th time in the last 13 seasons that at least four ACC teams earned an NCAA bid.
