CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Atlantic Coast Conference field hockey teams are set for another challenging weekend of non-conference action, with six ranked opponents on the schedule for Friday, September 11, and Sunday, September 13.
 
The weekend slate features four matchups between top-20 teams, highlighted by No. 14 Louisville facing the nation’s top two teams in No. 1 Northwestern and No. 2 Iowa in Evanston, Illinois. Cardinals have already secured a top-10 win this season, knocking off No. 10 Miami (Ohio) on opening day.
 
In addition to Louisville taking on Northwestern and Iowa, No. 11 Virginia will battle No. 13 Liberty (Friday, 5 p.m. ET), while No. 5 North Carolina is set to face No. 20 Old Dominion (Friday, 5 p.m. ET).
 
The ACC continues to have a nation-leading six teams represented in the NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll, led by No. 5 North Carolina, No. 6 Wake Forest and No. 9 Duke.
