This Week in ACC Volleyball

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball teams begin league competition on Wednesday, September 23, as Miami travels to Tallahassee, Florida, to face in-state foe Florida State at 7 p.m. ET on ACC Network.
 
The first week of conference competition features two ranked matchups as No. 5 SMU hosts No. 12 Stanford on Friday, September 25, at 9 p.m. ET on ACC Network and on Sunday, September 27, as the Cardinal travel Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to take on No. 2 Pitt at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
 
Headlined by the second-ranked Panthers, five ACC teams are ranked in the AVCA/Taraflex Week 4 Poll. The Panthers are followed by Louisville (No. 4), SMU (No. 5), Stanford (No. 12) and North Carolina (No. 24). The ACC leads all conferences with three teams ranked in the top five.

Noting ACC Volleyball
  • Pitt remains the ACC’s lone undefeated team at 10-0, highlighted by five wins over top-25 opponents.
  • ACC teams are 118-64 (.648) against non-conference opponents.
  • ACC teams have recorded 17 wins over AVCA Top 25 opponents this season.
  • ACC players have earned three AVCA Division I Player of the Week honors this season: Pitt’s Olivia Babcock (Aug. 26), Louisville’s Chloe Meester (Sept. 8) and SMU’s Suli Davis (Sept. 15).
  • Stanford was voted the preseason favorite to win the 2026 ACC Volleyball Championship for the first time since joining the league by the league’s volleyball head coaches. 
  • Duke’s Ahen Kim and Florida State’s Lindsay Allman are both in their first seasons as head coaches of their respective programs.
