CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – With the 2026 WNBA Playoffs getting underway on Sunday, September 27, a total of 23 alumni from current Atlantic Coast Conference institutions will compete for a WNBA championship, second-highest total among all conferences.

All eight playoff teams will have at least one ACC alum on their rosters, with the Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces leading the way with five ACC representatives. The Indiana Fever follows with four alums, while the Minnesota Lynx have three players.

Last season, the Aces captured their third WNBA title in four seasons, led by former ACC standouts Chelsea Gray (Duke), Jackie Young (Notre Dame), Jewell Loyd (Notre Dame) and Dana Evans (Louisville).

The 2026 WNBA Playoffs are set to begin on Sunday when the New York Liberty visit the Minnesota Lynx at 2 p.m. ET on ABC. The WNBA Finals are scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 17, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
