GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Florida State’s Milica Kubura was named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week, and Melissa Evans of NC State was selected as the ACC Volleyball Freshman of the Week.

Kubura and the Seminoles started off ACC play with wins at home over Virginia and Virginia Tech. The senior outside hitter from Belgrade, Serbia, had match highs in kills, hitting percentage and total blocks in both wins. Kubura racked up 40 kills with 20 in each match, a .595 hitting percentage, 12 total blocks and three digs on the weekend.

Evans helped the Wolfpack defeat North Carolina and Notre Dame last weekend to start 2-0 in conference play. The Lone Tree, Colorado, native recorded 35 kills, a .314 hitting percentage, nine blocks and four digs total in NC State’s two matches.

ACC Volleyball returns to action when Virginia hosts Virginia Tech on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.
