GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Pitt clinched the 2019 ACC Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 win at Duke on Saturday.
The ACC title is the third straight for the Panthers (26-1, 15-0), and their second outright. Pitt shared the championship with Louisville in 2017 before winning it outright last year.
Panthers won the first set against Duke, 25-16, and never looked back, winning the second frame, 25-14, before closing out the final set, 25-17.
The Panthers also earned the ACC’s automatic qualification to the NCAA Championship with the win over Duke.
The 2019 NCAA Championship bracket will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 8:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
