Greensboro, N.C. (theACC.com) – North Carolina’s Benjamin Sigouin has been named the ACC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, and Duke’s pair of Nick Stachowiak and Sean Sculley has been selected as the Doubles Team of the Week.
Sigouin had a strong showing in North Carolina’s 6-0 win over No. 11 TCU. The junior from Vancouver, Canada, took down TCU’s 125th ranked Luc Fomba in straight sets, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3, at the No. 2 singles position.
Stachowiak, a senior from Cary, North Carolina, and Sculley, a junior from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, clinched the doubles point in Duke’s wins over Kentucky and NC Central. The Blue Devil duo won all three of their doubles matches at the No. 1 doubles spot.
