Greensboro, N.C. (theACC.com) – Miami’s Adria Soriano Barrera and North Carolina’s Benjamin Sigouin have been selected as the ACC Men’s Tennis Co-Players of the Week, while Wake Forest teammates Eduardo Nava and Henri Squire have been named the Doubles Team of the Week.
 
Soriano Barrera was key in Miami’s 4-0 win over No. 25 Florida State. The junior from Barcelona, Spain, defeated Florida State’s No. 74-ranked Alex Knaff at the No. 1 singles position, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, and teamed up with Francisco Bastias to defeat the Seminoles’ Sebastian Arcila and Marcus Walters at the No. 2 doubles position, 6-4, clinching the doubles point for the Hurricanes.
 
A native of Vancouver, Canada, Sigouin shined in a 4-0 road win for North Carolina over No. 7 NC State. The Tar Heel junior defeated the Wolfpack’s No. 92-ranked Tadas Babelis at the No. 2 singles spot, 6-3, 6-1.
 
Nava, a junior from Northridge, California, and Squire, and freshman from Düsseldorf, Germany, won all three of their matches at the No. 1 doubles position this week. The Wake Forest duo’s week was highlighted by a 6-4 win over Duke’s No. 8-ranked pair of Sean Sculley and Nick Stachowiak, clinching the doubles point for the Demon Deacons and contributing to a 4-3 win over the No. 24 Blue Devils.
