CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke junior Bryan Kim has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month for October.
Bryan Kim, Jr., Duke (Brookeville, Maryland)
- Won his second tournament of the fall at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.
- Finished at 11-under (205), highlighted by a first-round 65, in a field that included the nation’s top-five players.
- Placed fourth at The Bryson Invitational, leading Duke to a second-place finish.
- Carded 16 birdies, the second most in the field.
ACC Men’s Golf Notes
- ACC men’s golf teams captured eight tournament titles in the fall, led by Wake Forest with two wins.
- ACC players claimed 11 individual titles, with Kim and Boston College’s Markus Lam earning two medalist honors each.
- Five ACC teams are in the top 25 of the Scoreboard Team Rankings, led by Virginia at No. 1. The Cavaliers are followed by No. 13 North Carolina, No. 17 Georgia Tech, No. 23 Notre Dame and No. 25 Duke.
- Virginia’s Ben James and Duke’s Kim are currently No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the Scoreboard Individual Rankings. In total, four ACC players are in the top 25.
- Virginia also climbed to the No. 1 spot in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll, announced on Friday. North Carolina is No. 13, Georgia Tech is No. 16, Wake Forest is No. 22 and Notre Dame is No. 23 to round out the ACC contingent.
