This Week in ACC Men’s Golf

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference men’s golf spring season opened Monday, January 26, with two teams in action and will continue Thursday, February 5, as several teams begin their spring slates.

California’s Xihuan Chang turned in the best finish of the spring season thus far, tying for 10th at The N.I.T. in Tucson, Arizona. Chang’s third-round 67 (-5) led the Golden Bears to a sixth-place finish in a field that featured three teams ranked in the top 30 of the latest Scoreboard rankings. In other action, SMU placed 10th at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, California.

The ACC began the spring with the top-2 players in the Scoreboard individual rankings, with Virginia’s Ben James at No. 1 and Duke’s Bryan Kim at No. 2. Kim posted two individual titles in the fall, winning The Bryan Bros Collegiate at the end of September and later capturing the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in late October. Kim was one of just two ACC players to win multiple individual titles over the fall season.

The ACC Men’s Golf Championship returns to Shark’s Tooth Golf Club in Panama City, Florida, for the first time since 2022. There have been five different winners of the ACC Men’s Golf Tournament over the past five seasons.
