KANSAS CITY, Mo. (theACC.com) – After the Atlantic Coast Conference led the nation with seven semifinalists, all three finalists for the 2025 Women’s Soccer Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy hail from the ACC, as Stanford’s Jasmine Aikey, Florida State’s Jordynn Dudley and Notre Dame’s Izzy Engle were announced Wednesday, December 10, by the United Soccer Coaches and the MAC.
The MAC Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967. The 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy banquet will be held at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on January 9, 2026, to formally announce this year’s winners.
Aikey closed the 2025 season as the only ACC player to eclipse 20 goals, finishing with 21. The Palo Alto, California, native also ranked fifth in the ACC with 11 assists, as her 53 points are the most by an ACC player since North Carolina’s Casey Nogueira registered 58 in 2008. In this year’s NCAA Tournament, the striker scored six goals in six matches, highlighted by two-goal performances against Alabama and BYU. Prior to the national championship, Aikey was named the TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Year.
Dudley led the Florida State attack with 11 goals and 14 assists, helping lead the Seminoles to the national championship, the second of her career. The Milton, Georgia, native posted three multi-goal matches this season, culminating with a two-goal effort in a 4-1 quarterfinal win over Ohio State during the NCAA Tournament. During the regular season, Dudley registered at least one point in all 10 league matches, scoring seven goals and handing out a conference-best nine assists.
Engle was named the 2025 ACC Offensive Player of the Year after closing the regular season with a conference-best 17 goals and 40 points. In her 19 appearances, the Edina, Minnesota, native tallied 19 goals, the fifth-most in the nation, and six assists, as she helped lead the Fighting Irish to the title match of the 2025 Ally ACC Women’s Soccer Championship. Engle was the only player to record a hat trick in an ACC match this season, scoring three times against Virginia Tech on October 23.
This season marks the third time in four years that all three finalists for the Hermann Trophy are from the ACC. Last season, North Carolina’s Kate Faasse, Duke’s Maggie Graham and Wake Forest’s Caiya Hanks were named finalists, with Faasse becoming the seventh different Tar Heel to win the Hermann Trophy.
A student-athlete from the ACC has won the Hermann Trophy in each of the last five seasons, while current membership has claimed the award for eight straight years, dating back to 2017. Overall, ACC student-athletes have won 17 Hermann Trophies, while current membership has earned 27.
