CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Pitt right-side hitter Olivia Babcock has been named a finalist for the 2025 AVCA Division I Player of the Year award for the second consecutive season.
The Los Angeles, California, native helped lead the Panthers to their 10th straight NCAA Volleyball Championship appearance, sixth straight regional final and fifth straight national semifinal. Babcock finished the regular season with 545 kills, 5.00 kills per set, 235 digs, 110 total blocks and 35 service aces.
Babcock was named the Pittsburgh Regional Tournament MVP for the third straight season on Saturday, December 13, after recording 42 kills, 12 digs and five blocks in wins over No. 4-seeded Minnesota and No. 3-seeded Purdue in the Pittsburgh Regional.
The 2025 ACC Volleyball Player of the Year and First-Team All-ACC selection will join her teammates in a fight for a spot in the national championship title game on Thursday, December 18, as the Panthers take on No. 3-seeded Texas A&M at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The 2025 AVCA Division I Player of the Year, presented by Nike Volleyball, will be announced on Friday, December 19, in Kansas City at the 2025 AVCA Convention.
