CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – North Carolina’s Kysen Terukina was tabbed the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week for competition in Week Eight of the 2025-26 season.
 
Kysen Terukina, Grad., 125 pounds, North Carolina (Ewa Beach, Hawai’i)

• Posted a 2-0 record at 125 pounds on the week, highlighted by a 5-3 decision over No. 26 Trever Anderson of No. 12 Northern Iowa.
• Added a 4-1 victory over Alan Koehler of No. 6 Nebraska.
• Improved to 6-0 on the season, with all six wins coming in dual competition.
• The only Tar Heel to compete in every dual this season.
• Has allowed just one takedown all season.
• The victory at No. 12 Northern Iowa marked North Carolina’s highest-ranked road win since the 2017-18 season, when UNC defeated No. 12 Nebraska, 22–14.
