CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Week two of the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference softball season kicks off on Wednesday, February 12, and will last through Sunday, February 16.
The action begins with two midweek matchups on Wednesday as Georgia Tech heads to Kennesaw, Georgia, to take on Kennesaw State and North Carolina travels to Conway, South Carolina, to face off with Coastal Carolina. Both games are at 6 p.m. ET.
The 2025 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational begins on Thursday, February 13, as No. 9 Florida State, Virginia and Clemson will take the field over the course of four days in Clearwater, Florida, in a 20-team tournament that features six ranked teams. The Seminoles will kick things off with a ranked matchup against No. 16 Missouri on Thursday (10 a.m. ET), before taking on Ohio State on Friday (2 p.m. ET), Wichita State on Saturday (7 p.m. ET) and UCF on Sunday ( 8 p.m. ET). Virginia will face off with No. 24 Kentucky on Thursday (2 p.m. ET), Auburn on Friday (10 a.m. ET), played two games on Saturday versus No. 5 Texas A&M (1 p.m. ET) and San Diego State ( 4:30 p.m. ET) and wrap up the weekend versus No. 4 UCLA on Sunday (10 a.m. ET). Clemson will take on No. 16 Missouri (1 p.m. ET) and Auburn (4 p.m. ET) on Thursday, No. 24 Kentucky on Friday (1 p.m. ET), UCF on Saturday (9 a.m. ET) and Ohio State on Sunday (10 a.m. ET). All games will be featured on ESPN+.
There are a total of six ranked matchups across the four-day stretch, with three for No. 18 Virginia Tech, two for No. 14 Duke and one for No. 9 Florida State. The Hokies will take on No. 21 Northwestern on Friday, and No. 7 LSU on Saturday and Sunday, while the Blue Devils will take on No. 2 Florida on Saturday and Sunday.

- Nine ACC softball players were named to the USA Softball Top 53 Watch List for the 2025 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, USA Softball announced on Wednesday, January 22. Among the list are Florida State’s Julia Apsel, Jaysoni Beachum, Michaela Edenfield and Isa Torres, Duke’s Aminah Vega, Cassidy Curd and D’Auna Jennings, and Virginia Tech’s Emma Lemley and Bre Peck.
- Five ACC student-athletes were named Preseason All-Americans by D1 Softball. Florida State’s Isa Torres (SS) and Jaysoni Beachum (3B) joined Virginia Tech’s Cori McMillan (UTL) on the first team. Florida State’s Michaela Edenfield (C) and Duke’s D’Auna Jennings (OF) were named to the second team.
- Eight ACC student-athletes were named Preseason All-Americans by Softball America. Florida State’s Isa Torres (SS) and Jaysoni Beachum (3B) joined Virginia Tech’s Cori McMillan (UTL) and Duke’s Aminah Vega (2B) on the first team.
