CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference men’s tennis spring slate continues this weekend with 13 teams in action highlighted by nine home matches from Friday, February 7, through Sunday, February 9.
Friday’s schedule will see Clemson, Miami and Virginia Tech host in-state foes No. 17 South Carolina, No. 21 UCF and Old Dominion, respectively, while SMU will welcome the Florida Gators to Dallas, Texas, for a non-conference tilt. Louisville and No. 19 NC State will hit the road to take on Ivy League schools Cornell and Princeton, respectively, while No. 5 Virginia will take on Georgia in Athens, Georgia.
Notre Dame will host not one but two matches on Saturday, February 8, in William & Mary and Northern Illinois, while No. 15 Florida State will take on the No. 18 Crimson Tide of Alabama in Tallahassee, Florida. No. 4 Wake Forest will play a road match at No. 6 Columbia, while Boston College will take on Adelphi University in a neutral site matchup in Stamford, Connecticut.
Sunday’s slate consists of four matches, as Clemson will play host to both Northwestern and UNC Asheville. North Carolina will travel to Georgia, while Louisville will remain in the northeast to take on Harvard.

Noting ACC Men’s Tennis
- In the most recent ITA Division I Men’s Top 25 Coaches Poll announced on February 5, the ACC had a season-high seven teams ranked, highlighted by three teams in the top 10. Wake Forest jumped two spots to No. 2, Virginia remained at No. 5 and Duke came in at No. 7. Stanford was ranked No. 11, four spots ahead of Florida State at No. 15. NC State came in at No. 19 and California was ranked No. 23.
- In the first spring ITA National Singles Rankings (February 5), the ACC had five players in the top 25 – Carl Emil Overbeck of Cal (No. 4), Dhakshineswar Suresh of Wake Forest (No. 7), Corey Craig of Florida State (No. 15), Braden Shick of NC State (No. 16) and Stefan Dostanic of Wake Forest (No. 17). Five other players joined the group in the top 35 – Dylan Dietrich of Virginia (No. 26), Jamie Connel of Florida State (No. 27), Samir Banerjee of Stanford (No. 31), Sebastian Dominko of Notre Dame (No. 33) and Theo Dean of Cal (No. 35).
- In the first ITA National Doubles Rankings (February 5) of the spring season, the ACC had eight doubles teams ranked in the top 25 – Luciano Tacchi and Luca Pow of Wake Forest (No. 3), Youcef Rihane and Alex Bulte of Florida State (No. 4), Dhakshineswar Suresh and Andrew Delgado of Wake Forest (No. 10), Cooper Williams and Theo Winegar of Duke (No. 13), Theo Dean and Carl Emil Overbeck of Cal (No. 20), Dhakshineswar Suresh and Ioannis Xilas of Wake Forest (No. 22), Christophe Clement and Krish Arora of Georgia Tech (No. 24) and Patrick Schoen and Logan Zapp of North Carolina (No. 25).
- Three schools were represented in the Week 4 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Weekly Awards, as Virginia’s Dylan Dietrich and Wake Forest’s Stefan Dostanic were tabbed Co-ACC Men’s Tennis Players of the Week. Virginia’s Rafael Jódar was named the Freshman of the Week, while Stanford’s duo of Samir Banerjee and Henry von der Schulenburg were voted the Doubles Team of the Week for matches played January 27-February 2.
- Six ACC student-athletes earned ITA All-American status in either singles or doubles at the 2024-25 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. The complete list of All-American student-athletes will be announced at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season when all criteria have been exhausted.
- The 2025 ACC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships will be held on April 15-20 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
