This Week in ACC Women’s Golf

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – After the opening week of the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golf Spring Season kicked off last week, two ACC teams return to action on Monday, February 10, headlined by league newcomer Stanford, which is coming off a national championship campaign in 2024.

The first week of the women’s golf season saw Florida State earn its first team title of the 2024-25 campaign, while junior Mirabel Ting captured her third medalist honor of the year. The Seminoles took home the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club championship for the second straight season in a field of 11 teams, including three other ACC opponents, and defeated second-place TCU by six strokes. Ting, who won her third championship of the year after finishing as the individual champion at the Folds of Honor Collegiate and the Schooner Fall Classic during the fall of 2024, finished at 12-under, capped off by a third-round 66 (-6). Teammate Lottie Woad captured second place at 6-under (210).

Also in action last week were Duke and North Carolina, as they finished second and third, respectively, at the PDI Intercollegiate in a 17-team field. UNC’s Helen Young carded the best individual finish among the ACC golfers, as she tied for third at 9-under (207).

Stanford begins its spring season at the two-day San Diego State Classic at The Heights Golf Club. The Cardinal open 2025 with three players in the top 25 of the first Scoreboard rankings this season, as Megha Ganne ranks fifth, Meja Örtengren ranks 10th and Paula Martín Sampedro is at No. 17. Stanford looks to become the first repeat national champion since Duke in 2006-07.
