CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference softball season continues as 14 of the 15 league teams continue conference play this weekend.
After seven weeks of conference action, Virginia Tech and Florida State are tied atop the ACC standings with matching 14-1 league records. Clemson sits in third place with a 14-4 conference mark, followed by Duke in fourth at 12-6 and Virginia in fifth at 11-7.
On Tuesday, April 15, 12 of the 15 ACC squads will take the field in early week non-conference matchups, highlighted by No. 19 Clemson hosting No. 12 South Carolina on ACC Network at 7 p.m. ET.
This weekend’s conference series begin on Thursday, April 17, and include NC State at North Carolina, Louisville at Virginia, Notre Dame at Duke, Boston College at Clemson, Virginia Tech at Pitt and California at Stanford. Georgia Tech will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, to take on Florida State beginning on Friday, April 18.
Five ACC teams are ranked in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, led by No. 8 Florida State. Joining the Seminoles are Virginia Tech at No. 11, Stanford at No. 16, Duke at No. 17 and Clemson at No. 19. Virginia is receiving votes.

- Virginia’s Jade Hylton and North Carolina’s Kat Rodriguez shared ACC Player of the Week honors and Florida State’s Jazzy Francik was tabbed the ACC Pitcher of the Week for games played April 7-13.

- Nine ACC softball players were named to the USA Softball Top 53 Watch List for the 2025 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, USA Softball announced on Wednesday, January 22. Among the list are Florida State’s Julia Apsel, Jaysoni Beachum, Michaela Edenfield and Isa Torres, Duke’s Aminah Vega, Cassidy Curd and D’Auna Jennings, and Virginia Tech’s Emma Lemley and Bre Peck.
