CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference softball season continues as 14 of the ACC’s 15 teams continue conference play this weekend.
After eight weeks of conference action, Florida State sits atop the ACC standings with a 14-1 league record. Virginia Tech is in second with a 15-3 record, Clemson in third with a 16-5 record, Duke in fourth with a 14-7 record and Virginia rounding out the top-5 with a league record of 13-8.
On Tuesday, April 22, nine of the 15 ACC squads will take the field in early week non-conference matchups, highlighted by No. 19 Clemson traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee, to take on the No. 1 team in the nation, Tennessee, at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
This weekend’s conference series include Boston College at Syracuse, North Carolina at Notre Dame, Clemson at Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech at California, Florida State at Louisville, Duke at NC State and Virginia at Stanford. Pitt will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for a game against Minnesota on Friday, April 25, and a double header against North Dakota and Minnesota on Saturday, April 26.
Five ACC teams are ranked in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, led by No. 7 Florida State. Joining the Seminoles are Virginia Tech at No. 14, Stanford at No. 16, Duke at No. 18 and Clemson at No. 19. Virginia is receiving votes.

- Virginia swept the weekly softball awards as Jade Hylton was named the ACC Player of the Week and Eden Bigham was tabbed the ACC Pitcher of the Week for games played April 14-20.

- Nine ACC softball players were named to the USA Softball Top 53 Watch List for the 2025 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, USA Softball announced on Wednesday, January 22. Among the list are Florida State’s Julia Apsel, Jaysoni Beachum, Michaela Edenfield and Isa Torres, Duke’s Aminah Vega, Cassidy Curd and D’Auna Jennings, and Virginia Tech’s Emma Lemley and Bre Peck.
