BRIGHTON, Mass. (theACC.com) - No. 1-seed Florida State is headed to the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Championship game after defeating No. 4-seed Duke, 3-2, on Friday, May 9.

Four different Seminoles got hits with three recording RBIs to help lead Florida State to its 27th ACC Championship appearance in program history.

Duke struck first, going up 1-0 in the third inning off of Ana Gold reaching on an error to score Aminah Vega. The Seminoles answered right back, with Jahni Kerr reaching on a throwing error to score Krystina Hartley in the bottom of the third. Katie Dack used an RBI groundout to score Kerr and put Florida State up 2-1.

Michaela Edenfield knocked a solo home run in the sixth to put the Seminoles up 3-1. The Blue Devils scored another in the top of the seventh, but Florida State held them off to finish out the game.

The Seminoles advanced to the championship game to take on the winner of No. 2-seed Clemson and No. 3-seed Virginia Tech on Saturday, May 10, at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
