ACC Announces Volleyball Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - SMU’s Jadyn Livings and Notre Dame’s Morgan Gaerte shared Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors while Pitt’s Bre Kelley was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week. SMU’s Averi Carlson earned ACC Setter of the Week while teammate Christa Wilburn rounded out the honors as ACC Freshman of the Week.

ACC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jadyn Livings, So., Outside Hitter, SMU (The Colony, Texas)

  • Hit .421 on the week in wins over Washington, Northern Iowa and Stony Brook.
  • Recorded 39 kills for the three matches, including 18 against Washington.
  • Led SMU with 3.55 kills per set on the week.

ACC CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Morgan Gaerte, So., Outside Hitter, Notre Dame (Angola, Indiana)

  • Broke the 37-year-old program record for kills in a single match with a career-high 34 against Illinois.
  • Gaerte's 34 kills are the most by an ACC player since 2022.
  • Hit .466 against Illinois.
  • Leads the ACC with 5.00 kills per set.
  • Leads the ACC with 5.53 points per set.

ACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bre Kelley, R-Sr., Middle Blocker, Pitt (Rockwall, Texas)

  • Recorded 21 total blocks and 2.10 blocks per set in wins over No. 7 Arizona State, Pepperdine and Jacksonville.
  • Recorded a match-high seven blocks in the sweep against No. 7 Arizona State.
  • Recorded season-best nine blocks against Jacksonville.
  • Currently leads the ACC in total blocks with 37.

ACC SETTER OF THE WEEK
Averi Carlson, Sr., Setter, SMU (Lucas, Texas)

  • Recorded 140 assists, an average of 12.73 assists per set for the week.
  • Recorded two double-doubles across three matches with 35 assists and 10 blocks in the win against UNI and 56 assists and 12 digs in the win over Stony Brook.
  • Recorded 26 digs and four service aces overall for the week.
  • Second-straight week as ACC Setter of the Week.
  • Leads the ACC in assists with 244.

ACC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Christa Wilburn, Fr., Outside Hitter, SMU (Dripping Springs, Texas)

  • Hit .462 on the week.
  • Recorded 15 kills with 1.50 kills per set.
  • Recorded 10 digs and three service aces.
  • Hit a season-high .667 with a season-high eight kills against Washington.
