CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - In the first set of weekly honors for the 2025-26 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis season, the Wake Forest duo of Luca Pow and Mees Rottgering was named the ACC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week, while SMU’s Jerry Barton was named the ACC Men's Player of the Week.
 
ACC MEN’S DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK
Luca Pow, Wake Forest, Jr. (Solihull, England)
Mees Rottgering, Wake Forest, Fr. (Wanssum, Netherlands)

• Won both doubles matches to help lead Wake Forest to a 7-0 win over Saint Joseph’s and a 4-0 win over ETSU.
  • Defeated No. 70 Othman Bezzaz and Ernesto Buy of Saint Joseph’s, 6-2.
  • Defeated Juan Listo and Arenui Luethi of ETSU, 6-2.

 
ACC MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jerry Barton, SMU, Sr. (Bedford, Texas)

• Defeated No. 34 Bryan Hernandez Cortes of No. 7 Mississippi State, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
• Helped defeat the doubles team of Vincente Monge and Rintaro Shukuda.
