This Week in ACC Softball

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Week two of the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball continues with 75 games over the course of four days this Weekend, beginning this Thursday, February 12, with the 2026 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational.

No. 6 Florida State, No. 19 Duke and NC State will head to Clearwater, Florida, on Friday, February 13, for the 2026 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational. The 16-team field will also feature No. 1 Texas Tech, No. 3 Tennessee, No. 7 UCLA, No. 8 Nebraska and Texas A&M (tied), No. 10 LSU, No. 17 Georgia, No. 23 Oklahoma State and UCF.

ACC teams will compete in a total of seven ranked matchups, as No. 6 Florida State takes on No. 1 Texas Tech (Thursday, 1 p.m. ET, ESPN2), No. 7 UCLA (Saturday, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN+) and No. 3 Tennessee (Sunday, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN). No. 19 Duke will face off against No. 8 Texas A&M (Friday, 1 p.m. ET, ESPN+), No. 10 LSU (Friday, 4:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+), No. 23 Oklahoma State (Saturday, 10 a.m. ET, ESPN2) and No. 17 Georgia (Saturday, 4 p.m. ET, ESPN+).
Sunday will feature one other ranked matchup as No. 12 Stanford hosts No. 14 Oregon in Stanford, California, at 3:30 p.m. ET on ACCNX.

The ACC had six teams in the Week 1 ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll, headlined by Florida State at No. 6. Stanford (No. 12), Virginia Tech (No. 16), Clemson (No. 18), Duke (No. 19) and Virginia (No. 25) helped round out the top 25.

Noting ACC Softball
  • ACC Softball collected eight wins over ranked teams on opening weekend.
  • Florida State was voted the preseason favorite to win the 2026 ACC Softball title by the league’s 15 head coaches.
  • Seven members of the Preseason All-ACC softball team were named to the USA Softball Top 50 Watch List for the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. Among the list are: Jaysoni Beachum (Florida State), Macey Cintron (Clemson), Jazzy Francik (Florida State), Kennedy Harp (Florida State), River Mahler (Stanford), Aminah Vega (Duke) and Isa Torres (Florida State).
  • Virginia will host the 2026 ACC Softball Championship from Wednesday, May 6, to Saturday, May 9, at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
