CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Sweeping through the Doc Hosea Invitational last Sunday, the Virginia Varsity Eight has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

CREW OF THE WEEK – Virginia Varsity Eight

• Raced past No. 12 Syracuse (6:24.6) and Northeastern (6:50.0) during the morning session with a time of 6:21.1.
• Defeated No. 16 Penn (6:35.5) by more than 14 seconds in the afternoon session, crossing the line at 6:20.2.
• The V8 posted two of Virginia’s 11 victories on the day.
