This Week in ACC Softball

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 10th week of the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball season brings eight midweek matchups on Wednesday, April 15, and a full slate of conference competition beginning Friday, April 17.

Six ACC games will be broadcast live on linear networks, beginning with a top-15 matchup on Wednesday between No. 14 Duke and No. 9 Tennessee. This game will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Shortly after, Louisville hosts Indiana at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network.

Five ACC teams are ranked in the Week 10 ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll, led by Virginia Tech at No. 10. Joining the Hokies were Florida State at No. 12, Duke at No. 14, Stanford at No. 19 and Virginia at No. 23.

  • Five ACC players have been named as Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I National Players of the Week: Gracyn Tucker – Georgia Tech, Emily LeGette - North Carolina (2x), Bella Cabral - Virginia, Zoe Prystajko - Stanford and Shelby McKenzie - Florida State.
  • Virginia head coach Joanna Hardin recorded her 300th career win on February 20.
  • Clemson head coach John Rittman recorded his 1000th career win on February 28.
  • Stanford head coach Jessica Allister recorded her 600th career win on March 28.
  • Florida State head coach Lonni Alameda recorded her 1000th career win March 29.
  • Florida State was voted the preseason favorite to win the 2026 ACC Softball title by the league’s 15 head coaches.
  • Seven members of the Preseason All-ACC softball team were named to the USA Softball Top 50 Watch List for the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. Among the list are: Jaysoni Beachum (Florida State), Macey Cintron (Clemson), Jazzy Francik (Florida State), Kennedy Harp (Florida State), River Mahler (Stanford), Aminah Vega (Duke) and Isa Torres (Florida State).
  • Virginia will host the 2026 ACC Softball Championship from Wednesday, May 6, to Saturday, May 9, at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
