2026 NCAA Tournament Bracket

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – All five Atlantic Coast Conference men’s lacrosse teams notched bids to the 2026 NCAA Championship, which was announced Sunday, May 3.

This marks the fourth time – and the first since 2021 – in which at least five ACC teams earned NCAA bids. The ACC’s total of five teams is the most of any league in the 2026 tournament.

ACC teams claimed half of the eight national seeds, as Notre Dame (10-2) claimed the No. 2 seed, North Carolina (12-4) picked up the No. 3 seed, ACC champion Virginia (10-6) earned the No. 5 seed and Syracuse (11-5) received the No. 6 seed. Duke (9-4) also earned a bid into the tournament.

All four seeded ACC programs will play host to first-round games on Saturday or Sunday, May 9 or 10. The eight first-round contests will air on ESPNU.

No. 2 seed Notre Dame plays host to the Jacksonville-Robert Morris winner on Sunday at noon ET. Making its 19th NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 20 seasons, Notre Dame has been selected to 29 NCAA Tournaments all-time while winning national championships in 2023 and 2024.

No. 3 seed North Carolina plays host to UAlbany at noon ET on Saturday in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. UNC earned its 35th NCAA Tournament bid, including its second straight, and has won five national championships.

Fresh off winning the 2026 Allstate ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship on Sunday, No. 5 seed Virginia faces Georgetown next Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Cavaliers will make their ACC-leading 44th appearance in the NCAA Championship. UVA owns six NCAA crowns in its program history.

No. 6 seed Syracuse entertains Yale at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, in Syracuse, New York. The Orange earned a bid for the 42nd time in program history. Syracuse is a 10-time NCAA champion, with the last two coming consecutively in 2008 and 2009.

Duke travels to No. 4 seed Richmond on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET in Richmond, Virginia. The Blue Devils earned their 28th all-time NCAA bid and 18th in the last 19 seasons. The Blue Devils have captured three NCAA championships, with the last coming in 2014.

All first-round games will be televised on ESPNU. The quarterfinal games, hosted by Delaware and Hofstra, also will air on ESPNU. The Division I semifinal and championship games will be held at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia, and hosted by the University of Virginia. The semifinals will be televised on ESPN2 on Saturday, May 23, and the championship game will be played Monday, May 25, on ESPN.
