No. 1 Seed Florida State Headed to Championship Title Game

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (theACC.com) - No. 1 seed Florida State has clinched a spot in the 2026 Allstate ACC Softball Championship game for the fifth consecutive season after a 9-0 run-rule win in five innings over No. 4 Stanford on Friday, May 8, at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The Seminoles will face off against the winner of No. 2 seed Duke and No. 3 seed Virginia Tech in the title game on Saturday, May 9, at 2:30 p.m. ET. The championship game will be broadcast on ESPN.

Florida State’s Ashtyn Danley headlined the Seminoles’ offense, going 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles, two runs and three runs batted in. Isa Torres added two singles of her own while scoring three runs, and Makenna Sturgis added another two singles, scoring two runs. Jaysoni Beachum also had a single, two runs batted in and two runs.

Bella Dimitrijevic got the win in the circle for the Seminoles, striking out four batters and allowing just one hit in 4.0 innings pitched.
