CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – As the WNBA tips off its historic 30th season on Friday, May 8, 38 former players from current Atlantic Coast Conference schools have made opening day rosters.
The defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces feature the most ACC players with five on their roster, including 2025 All-WNBA Second Team selection Jackie Young. The Chicago Sky, Dallas Wings and Los Angeles Sparks each have four ACC players.
The WNBA action begins on Friday with three matchups beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET, including the first-ever game for the expansion franchise Toronto Tempo.
