GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - The ACC men's lacrosse weekend begins Thursday with a top-five showdown between Duke and Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. The game airs at 7 p.m. on ACC Network. On Saturday, No. 9 Syracuse entertains No. 5 North Carolina at 3 p.m. on ACCN.
Virginia steps out of conference play Saturday for a noon matchup with Utah. ESPNU has the broadcast.

Noting ACC Men's Lacrosse
• The five ACC teams all rank among the top 10 in both polls. Notre Dame moved up to No. 2 in the USILA and Inside Lacrosse rankings and is followed in the USILA poll by Virginia (3), Duke (4), North Carolina (5) and Syracuse (9). In the IL poll, Duke is No. 3 and UVa is No. 4.
• With Notre Dame moving to No. 2 nationally in the polls this week, all five ACC teams have been ranked as high as No. 2 at one point this season.
• The ACC teams all rank among the top 10 in the RPI: UVa (1), Duke (2), UNC (4), Syracuse (5) and Notre Dame (9).
• In Inside Lacrosse's Midseason All-America honors, ACC players took eight of the 13 First-Team spots. In all, 32 ACC players earned Midseason All-America status - most of any league.
• The ACC leads all conferences with 15 players on the 2021 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. Each of the five ACC programs had at least one representative on the list.
• Notre Dame’s win over No. 1 Duke in men’s lacrosse marked the 311th win for Kevin Corrigan at the school. That is the most at a single program by a coach in D-I history.
• Virginia senior attackman Matt Moore was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week (two goals, six assists in win at UNC).
• Notre Dame senior defenseman Jack Kielty earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week laurels (held Duke's Michael Sowers to one assist in win over Blue Devils).
• Kielty also was named the US Lacrosse Division I Men's Player of the Week.
• ACC teams are 29-1 in non-conference play this year while outscoring their opponents 502-268.
• The five ACC teams all rank among the top 11 nationally in scoring: North Carolina (1st, 17.4 gpg, Duke (3rd, 15.7), Virginia (6th, 15.1), Syracuse (9th, 14.8) and Notre Dame (11th, 14.6).
• Notre Dame ranks second nationally in scoring defense (7.4 gpg), while Duke is 11th (9.3).
• The ACC boasts the NCAA's active individual career leaders in points (Michael Sowers, Duke, 354), goals (Charlie Bertrand, UVa, 226) and assists (Sowers, 211). Sowers (6.10) and UNC's Chris Gray (5.69) are the NCAA's active leaders in career points per game.
• UNC's Chris Gray ranks third nationally in points per game (6.0), while ND's Pat Kavanagh is eighth (5.57). Kavanagh is second nationally in assists per game (3.86) and Sowers is eighth (2.73).
• Notre Dame's Liam Entenmann boasts the second best goals-against average nationally (7.44), while Duke's Mike Adler is 11th (8.96).
• ACC teams will play six league games this year, with two home-and-homes as well as one home only and one road only opponent.
