CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - North Carolina’s Reese Brantmeier won the 2025-26 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Singles Championship on Sunday, November 23, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
Brantmeier defeated conference foe, California’s Berta Passola Folch, 6-3, 6-3 in the championship match to win the second NCAA Singles title in North Carolina women’s tennis program history (Jamie Loeb, 2015). Brantmeier added to the success of the ACC at the 2025 NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles Championships, becoming the sixth ACC player to win the championship in the last 10 years.

- Defeated Bridget Stammel (Vanderbilt) 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 in the Round of 64
- Beat Sophie Llewellyn (SMU) 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in the Round of 32
- Defeated Ava Esposito (Auburn) 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 in the Round of 16
- Upset No. 2 seed Carmen Andreea Herea (Texas) 7-6 (8), 6-0 in the Quarterfinals
- Beat Jana Hossam Salah (USC) 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 in the Semifinals
- Defeated Berta Passola Folch (California) 6-3, 6-3 in the Finals
ACC All-Americans
The ACC women’s tennis players earned six ITA All-American honors at the 2025 NCAA Singles Championships, totaling seven so far this fall. The complete list of All-American student-athletes will be announced at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season when all criteria have been exhausted.
The criteria for earning ITA All-America Singles honors include:

- Advancing to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championships (November)
- Finishing in the Top 20 of the Final ITA Singles Rankings (May)
