This Week in ACC Wrestling

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference enters the Thanksgiving weekend with three programs set to compete between November 27 and December 3, as the league looks to build on a strong opening month of the 2025–26 dual season.

ACC teams have combined for a 21–12 dual record to start the year, highlighted by North Carolina’s undefeated run and consistent early-season success across the conference.

This week, Virginia travels to Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, for a Saturday night showdown with Bloomsburg University on November 29 at 6 p.m. ET.

Over the weekend, No. 10 NC State remains in-state for a Sunday dual at Appalachian State in Boone on November 30 at 3 p.m. ET, while Duke closes out the week with an in-state road contest at Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, December 3, at 6 p.m. ET.

Noting ACC Wrestling
  • The ACC once again had five teams ranked in the top 25 of the NWCA Division I Men's Wrestling Coaches Poll (Nov. 24): Virginia Tech (No. 8), NC State (No. 10), Pitt (No. 19), North Carolina (No. 21) and Stanford (No. 24).
  • The conference once again boasts elite individual talent — 42 ACC wrestlers appear in the InterMat Individual Rankings (Nov. 25), landing in the top 33 of their respective weight classes. Five weight classes feature five or more ranked ACC athletes, signaling broad, top-to-bottom strength at 125, 133, 165, 174, and heavyweight (285).
  • NC State’s Vince Robinson, the reigning NCAA Champion at 125 pounds, has reclaimed the No. 1 national ranking in both InterMat and FloWrestling. Robinson recently earned a marquee win over No. 2 Troy Spratley (Oklahoma State), 3-2, at the National Duals Invitational. Now 3-1 on the season, his only loss came to No. 4 Eddie Ventresca in a tightly contested 4-1 bout.
  • The 2026 ACC Wrestling Championship heads to Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, marking Virginia Tech’s first time hosting since 2019.
  • The 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championships will be held at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, from March 19–21, 2026.
