CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball season continues this weekend as all 18 ACC programs take the court over a five-day stretch, running Wednesday, September 3, to Sunday, September 7.
The ACC will feature three ranked top 25 matchups this week, headlined by No. 23 Georgia Tech heading to West Lafayette, Indiana, for two mid-week matchups. The Yellow Jackets will take on Purdue at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 3, before turning around and facing No. 15 Kansas at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, September 4. Both matches will be streamed on Big Ten Plus. No. 6 Stanford closes out the weekend in top 10 fashion, going up against No. 2 Texas on Sunday, September 7, at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.
In the most recent AVCA/Taraflex Poll, Louisville led the ACC in the No. 3 spot with Stanford (No. 6), Pitt (No. 9), SMU (No. 11) and Georgia Tech (No. 23) filling out the rest of the top 25. North Carolina, Miami and Florida State received votes.

- SMU’s Malaya Jones was named the AVCA Division I National Player of the Week on Tuesday, September 2.
- Florida State’s Iane Henke leads the nation in service aces per set (1.50).
- Pitt’s Olivia Babcock leads the nation in career service aces per set (0.533).
- Pitt was voted the preseason favorite to win the 2025 ACC Volleyball Championship for the second straight year by the league’s volleyball head coaches.
- Seven ACC standouts were named to the AVCA Division I Player of the Year Watch List. The list included Chloe Chicoine (Louisville), Cara Cresse (Louisville), Flormarie Heredia Colon (Miami), Olivia Babcock (Pitt), Bre Kelley (Pitt), Malaya Jones (SMU) and Elia Rubin (Stanford).
- Florida State’s Chris Poole ranks first among active NCAA Division I coaches with 941 victories in 39 seasons. Duke’s Jolene Nagel ranks fifth on that list with 713 career wins.
- Louisville’s Dan Meske, NC State’s Megan Wargo-Kearney and Wake Forest’s Jeff Hulsmeyer are all in their first year as head coach of their programs.
- ESPN Events announced the inaugural “Showdown at the Net”, which will feature 16 ACC teams and 16 SEC teams on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 9-10. ESPN will host one neutral site event with two teams from each conference (Louisville vs. Texas and Pitt vs. Kentucky) while all other matches will take place on ACC or SEC campuses.
