CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Atlantic Coast Conference men’s golf teams look to continue an already successful March this week, as the countdown to the 2026 ACC Men’s Golf Championship continues.
Four different ACC players claimed individual titles, dating back to March 15. Notre Dame’s Jacob Modleski shared the title at the Schenkel Invitational, while Louisville’s Cooper Claycomb tied for first at the Michael A. Marino Classic in Myrtle Beach. SMU’s William Sides claimed his second individual title of the 2025-26 season at the Pauma Valley Invitational, while Tyler Weaver won the Valspar Collegiate Invitational to earn a spot in the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship in 2027.
Three teams captured titles in the same span, with NC State claiming the Michael A. Marino Classic, Florida State winning the Seminole Intercollegiate and Georgia Tech earning the title at the Pauma Valley Invitational.

- The ACC has five teams ranked in the top 25 in the latest spring rankings by Scoreboard powered by Clippd (March 25): No. 2 Virginia, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 18 Georgia Tech, No. 23 Stanford and No. 25 Florida State.
- In the most recent Scoreboard powered by Clippd Individual Rankings (March 25), three ACC players are ranked in the top 25: No. 2 Ben James (Virginia), No. 6 Bryan Kim (Duke) and No. 24 Bryan Lee (Virginia).
- In the first spring Division I Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll (March 6), six ACC teams were ranked in the top 25, headlined by No. 1 Virginia. Following the Cavaliers were No. 17 North Carolina, No. 19 Georgia Tech, No. 20 Duke, No. 21 Stanford and No. 23 Notre Dame. Florida State, Louisville and Wake Forest received votes. The next poll is set for Friday, March 27.
- Throughout the 2025-26 season, ACC teams have combined to win 15 tournaments, including seven during the spring season.
- Individually, ACC players have combined to win 18 medalist honors this season, as Boston College’s Markus Lam, Duke’s Bryan Kim and SMU’s William Sides are the only players with two individual titles.
- Seven ACC men’s golf standouts were named to the 2025-26 Ben Hogan Award watch list: Ben James (Virginia), Bryan Kim (Duke), Bryan Lee (Virginia), Jacob Modleski (Notre Dame), Niall Sheils Donegan (North Carolina), William Sides (SMU) and Tyler Weaver (Florida State).
- For the first time in program history, Virginia won the 2025 ACC Men’s Golf Championship with a 3-2 victory over North Carolina in the match play final at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
- A conference-record 12 ACC teams earned a spot in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals. It marked the 18th time in the past 19 years that at least eight ACC teams have earned regional bids.
- Five ACC teams advanced to the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships with Virginia advancing to the match-play final before falling to Oklahoma State, 3-2.
