CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Adding a pair of individual titles last week, the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s golf schedule is in full swing with multiple teams back in action.
Virginia Tech’s Ashton Harper took home medalist honors at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, while SMU’s Ben Steinmann shared the individual title at The Desimone Invitational, bringing the league’s total to 14 individual titles for the 2025-26 season thus far. Harper and Steinmann are the second and third individual champions this spring.
While Notre Dame is currently competing at the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia, 14 of the league’s 15 teams return to action throughout the next seven days, capped off by the Valspar Collegiate Invitational that features four ACC teams beginning on March 23.

• The ACC has six teams ranked in the top 25 in the latest spring rankings by Scoreboard powered by Clippd (March 11): No. 2 Virginia, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 20 Georgia Tech, No. 21 Stanford, No. 23 Notre Dame and No. 25 Duke.
• In the most recent Scoreboard powered by Clippd Individual Rankings (March 11), three ACC players are ranked in the top 15: No. 2 Ben James (Virginia), No. 6 Bryan Kim (Duke) and No. 13 Josh Duangmanee (Virginia).
• In the first spring Division I Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll (March 6), six ACC teams were ranked in the top 25, headlined by No. 1 Virginia. Following the Cavaliers were No. 17 North Carolina, No. 19 Georgia Tech, No. 20 Duke, No. 21 Stanford and No. 23 Notre Dame. Florida State, Louisville and Wake Forest received votes. The next poll is set for Friday, March 27.
• This fall, ACC teams combined to win eight team titles, with Wake Forest being the only team to win multiple tournaments. So far this spring, ACC teams have combined to win four tournaments, with Virginia winning twice.
• Individually, ACC players have combined to win 14 medalist honors this season, as Boston College’s Markus Lam and Duke’s Bryan Kim are the only players with two individual titles.
• Seven ACC men’s golf standouts were named to the 2025-26 Ben Hogan Award watch list: Ben James (Virginia), Bryan Kim (Duke), Bryan Lee (Virginia), Jacob Modleski (Notre Dame), Niall Sheils Donegan (North Carolina), William Sides (SMU) and Tyler Weaver (Florida State).
• For the first time in program history, Virginia won the 2025 ACC Men’s Golf Championship with a 3-2 victory over North Carolina in the match play final at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
• A conference-record 12 ACC teams earned a spot in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals. It marked the 18th time in the past 19 years that at least eight ACC teams have earned regional bids.
• Five ACC teams advanced to the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships with Virginia advancing to the match-play final before falling to Oklahoma State, 3-2.
