This Weekend in ACC Baseball

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball continues to impress on the diamond this season. With 11 teams currently slotted in the initial D1Baseball Projected Field of 64 for the 2026 season, the ACC continues to display dominance from top to bottom.

Ranked for the first time under head coach Todd Interdonato, No. 22 Boston College travels to Chapel Hill for a three-game series against No. 6 North Carolina. The Eagles are coming off a series win against then-No. 9 Virginia and have won 10 of their last 11 games. Across the diamond, North Carolina has won 13 of its last 14 games, including a sweep of then-No. 23 Notre Dame last weekend.

In a top-10 series, No. 7 Florida State will head to Charlottesville for three games against No. 10 Virginia. Both squads will be playing their third series against a ranked opponent in conference play. Florida State currently leads the ACC with a 7-2 mark in league play, while Virginia enters the weekend in fifth place, touting a 7-5 conference record.

Clemson and Georgia Tech will both head to the West Coast for a trio of ACC games. The third-ranked Yellow Jackets will square off with California in a series beginning on Thursday, April 2, while the Tigers will meet Stanford for three games beginning Friday, April 3. Following the weekend series against Cal, Clemson will stay in the Golden State to play a non-conference game against Santa Clara on Monday, April 6.

Notre Dame and Louisville will both head to the Tar Heel State for three-game series which begin on Thursday. The Fighting Irish will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, to meet NC State, while the Cardinals will head to Durham, North Carolina, to take on Duke.

After a neutral-site, non-conference win against Clemson on Wednesday, April 1, Wake Forest will head to Pennsylvania to meet the Pitt Panthers. In a midweek game against Mercyhurst, Pitt’s offense exploded for 27 runs and seven home runs, marking the Panthers’ most runs scored in a game since 1953.

Virginia Tech will head south to the Sunshine State, where it will meet Miami for a three-game set. Miami has won eight of its last 10 games, including a series win last weekend at Clemson. The Hokies look to pick up their second series win in conference play.
