Bracket Announced for 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The bracket and seeds for the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship were announced Saturday afternoon following the conclusion of regular-season play. The tournament includes eight of the league’s nine field hockey programs and kicks off Tuesday, November 4, at Trager Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.
 
North Carolina (16-1, 7-1 ACC) earned the No. 1 seed in the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship as one of three ACC co-regular-season champions, finishing with a goal differential of +12 to win the tiebreaker. It marks the Tar Heels’ fourth consecutive ACC Championship as the top-seed as North Carolina looks to win its ninth consecutive ACC crown. The Tar Heels will face No. 8 seed Louisville (8-9, 2-6) at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday. Louisville defeated Syracuse 3-2 on Saturday to clinch the Cardinals’ berth in the championship field.
 
Duke (11-6, 4-4) will be the No. 4 seed in the ACC Field Hockey Championship and will meet No. 5 seed California (8-7, 3-5). The Blue Devils and Golden Bears will begin their postseason runs on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. ET. The two teams met earlier this season in Berkeley, California, with Duke winning 2-0.
 
ACC co-regular-season champions Virginia (14-1, 7-1) earned the No. 2 seed in the ACC Field Hockey Championship and will square off with No. 7 seed Stanford (7-9, 2-6) on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Cavaliers and Cardinal met in the regular season, with Virginia winning 2-0 in Stanford, California.
 
No. 3 seed Wake Forest (15-3, 7-1), who also won a share of the ACC regular-season championship, will face No. 6 seed Syracuse (11-5, 3-5) at 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday. The Demon Deacons defeated the Orange 2-0 in overtime earlier this season in Syracuse, New York.
 
The semifinals will be played on Wednesday, November 5, beginning at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ET. The championship match will be played at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, November 7.
 
Each of the seven matches throughout the ACC Field Hockey Championship will be televised on ACC Network.
 
Admission is free for the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship.
