CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke senior William Love and Florida State junior Tyler Weaver shared the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month honors for March, the league announced on Friday.
William Love, Sr., Duke (Atlanta, Georgia)
- Closed March with three top-10 finishes, capped off by his first individual title of the season.
- Shared medalist honors at the UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate, finishing at 6-under, including a first-round 67 (-5), tying for the lowest round of the tournament.
- Tied for second at The Hayt at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, finishing at 10-under.
- Tied for ninth at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at 11-under in a field that featured 13 ranked teams.
Tyler Weaver, Jr., Florida State (Newmarket, England)
- Claimed an individual title and a runner-up finish to headline the month.
- Earned medalist honors at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational after winning a one-hole playoff, earning a spot in the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship in 2027.
- Placed second at the Seminole Intercollegiate, leading the Seminoles to the team title.
- Finished tied for 11th at the Cabo Collegiate, in a field that featured 10 ranked teams.
ACC Men’s Golf Notes
- Entering the final month of the regular season, ACC teams have combined to win 16 team titles. Virginia has won a conference-best three titles through 2025-26.
- Individually, ACC players have claimed 19 individual championships.
- Six ACC teams are in the top 25 of the Scoreboard Team Rankings, led by Virginia at No. 1. The Cavaliers are followed by No. 16 North Carolina, No. 17 Georgia Tech, No. 20 Stanford, No. 21 Duke and No. 24 Notre Dame.
- The ACC has five teams ranked in the top 25 in the latest spring rankings by Scoreboard powered by Clippd (April 1): No. 2 Virginia, No. 16 North Carolina, No. 18 Stanford, No. 19 Georgia Tech and No. 25 Florida State. Notre Dame (No. 26) and Duke (No. 28) sit just outside the top 25.
- In the most recent Scoreboard powered by Clippd Individual Rankings (April 1), four ACC players are ranked in the top 25: No. 2 Ben James (Virginia), No. 5 Tyler Weaver (Florida State), No. 12 Bryan Kim (Duke) and No. 23 William Sides (SMU).
- In the latest spring Division I Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll (March 27), five ACC teams were ranked in the top 25, headlined by No. 2 Virginia. The Cavaliers were followed by No. 16 Georgia Tech, No. 18 North Carolina, No. 24 Stanford and No. 25 Florida State. Duke, Notre Dame and Wake Forest are receiving votes.
