CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – A marquee team victory and another individual title headlined last week’s action in Atlantic Coast Conference men’s golf, as the spring season continues Friday, April 3.
Stanford earned its second victory of the spring, winning The Goodwin, a three-round event that featured one of the nation’s largest fields with 30 teams. The Cardinal finished four shots ahead of second-place UCLA, capturing the tournament they host for the first time since 2019.
Individually, Duke’s William Love shared medalist honors at the UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate, becoming the second Blue Devil this season to win an individual title (Bryan Kim, twice). Love finished at 6-under across three rounds, highlighted by a first-round 5-under 67, that tied for the lowest round of the tournament.
Six ACC teams are back on the course this weekend, including three competing at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. A week before the golf world turns its attention on Augusta, Georgia, for The Masters, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech will head to the Peach State for a two-day event at Forest Hills Golf Course.
