This Week in ACC Rowing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The action continues in Atlantic Coast Conference rowing this weekend with four teams back on the water, beginning Saturday, April 11.

Boston College (Knecht Cup), California (vs. Washington), Syracuse (Ivy Invitational) and Virginia (Ivy Invitational) are all back in action for the first time this month. The Orange and Cavaliers will compete against the Ivy League’s best at Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey, as the field features multiple ranked teams.

ACC Notes
  • A nation-best seven ACC teams earned spots in the latest Pocock Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Coaches Poll, released on April 7, led by defending national champion Stanford at No. 1. Following the Cardinal were No. 7 Virginia, No. 8 Syracuse, No. 10 California, No. 14 Duke, No. 15 Miami and No. 21 North Carolina.
  • The Duke Varsity Four was named the latest ACC Crew of the Week for its performance at last week’s Rocky Top Invite, announced by the conference on Tuesday, April 7.
  • The ACC announced its second annual Rowing Watch List on February 25, consisting of one student-athlete from each ACC school. Duke’s Lena Mills became the second rower in league history to make the Preseason Watch List twice.
  • Last season, in its first ACC Rowing Championship, Stanford took home the conference title, setting Grand Final record times in each event. The Cardinal went on to claim the league’s third rowing national championship all-time.
  • The 2026 ACC Rowing Championship, set for May 15-16, returns to Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the third time in four years.
