CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Headlined by a pair of victories, the California Varsity Eight has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

CREW OF THE WEEK – California Varsity Eight

• Posted two victories and a runner-up finish at the Big Ten Invitational.
• Opened the regatta with a time of 6:12.154, defeating No. 24 Indiana, Minnesota and Washington State.
• Closed Saturday with a time of 6:10.923, defeating No. 4 Washington, No. 18 UCLA, No. 17 Michigan and Notre Dame.
• Finished second (6:12.222) in their final race on Sunday to No. 1 Stanford, while finishing ahead of No. 4 Washington, No. 12 Rutgers and No. 17 Michigan.
