CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - In the final set of weekly honors for the 2025-26 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis season, the Virginia duo of Melodie Collard and Vivian Yang was named the ACC Women’s Doubles Team of the Week, while SMU’s Amelie Van Impe was voted the ACC Women’s Player and Freshman of the Week.

ACC WOMEN’S DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK
Melodie Collard, Virginia, Fifth-Year (Gatineau, Canada)
Vivian Yang, Virginia, Jr. (Auckland, New Zealand)

• Picked up two ranked doubles victories over the weekend, including a win over the No. 2 doubles team in the nation.
  • Topped NC State’s No. 2 Victoria Osuigwe and Gabriella Broadfoot, 6-4.
  • Downed Wake Forest’s No. 87 Nevena Carton and Kady Tannenbaum, 6-2.

 
ACC WOMEN’S PLAYER & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Amelie Van Impe, SMU, Fr. (Wichelen, Belgium)

• Went a combined 4-0 on the week, going 2-0 in both singles and doubles play, which included two ranked wins in singles action.
  • Downed California’s No. 13 Berta Passola Folch, 6-2, 6-2.
  • Defeated Stanford’s No. 32 Monika Ekstrand, 6-4, 7-6 (3).
  • Helped take down California’s duo of Mao Mushika and Anya Murthy, 6-3.
  • Helped top Stanford’s tandem of Monika Ekstrand and Caroline Driscoll, 7-6 (6).

• Has garnered eight ACC weekly awards on the season, the most of any ACC women’s tennis player this year.
