This Week in ACC Men’s Golf

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Adding a team title and a pair of medalist honors to the league total last week, Atlantic Coast Conference men’s golf is in its final week of the regular season before teams make the trek to Panama City, Florida, for the 2026 ACC Men’s Golf Championship, beginning Thursday, April 23.

North Carolina headlined last week’s action with a team championship at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, finishing 54-under (810) for the three-round event, the second-lowest score by an ACC team this season (Virginia, 809). Leading the Tar Heels was Sihan Sandhu, who won a three-hole playoff to take home the individual title, finishing 15-under (201).

Also claiming an individual title last week was Virginia’s Paul Chang, who won at the Calusa Cup in Naples, Florida. Chang won the 40-player field by four shots, finishing at 12-under (204), becoming the first Cavalier to win a tournament in 2025-26.

The action resumes on Saturday, April 11, when UNC hosts the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, welcoming 15 teams to Chapel Hill, including Duke. Also hosting is Virginia, which will host the Lewis Chitengwa Invitational in Charlottesville, as four league teams (Florida State, NC State, Virginia and Virginia Tech) will compete in this year’s event.

Also in action are California and Stanford, as they participate in the 79th Western Intercollegiate. Live coverage of the tournament will be broadcast nationally on the Golf Channel. Three hours of coverage will be broadcast each day beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
