PANAMA CITY, Fla. (theACC.com) – Stanford remained atop the team leaderboard following Round 2 of the 2026 ACC Men’s Golf Championship from Shark’s Tooth Golf Course at Watersound Club.
The Cardinal (553, -23) will take a commanding 16-shot lead heading into the final round of stroke play on Saturday, April 25. Leading the way is Edan Cui, who leads the medalist race following a 5-under 67 on the day and sits at 9-under (135) for the tournament. Cui is joined in the top 10 by teammates Jay Leng (138, -6) who is tied for third, and Nathan Wang and Dean Greyserman (140, -4), who are tied for ninth.
Following Stanford in the team standings, Virginia (-7) climbed six spots into second place after the Cavaliers finished 10-under on the day, while North Carolina (-5) sits in third place. Louisville (-3) also climbed the standings, moving three positions to fourth, while Wake Forest (-1) rounded out the top five.
Four teams enter Saturday tied for sixth place at 1-over: Georgia Tech, Clemson, SMU and Florida State.
Cui is followed by SMU’s William Sides (137, -7) who is two shots back, while three players, Leng, California’s Ziqin Zhou and Virginia’s Ben James, are tied in third at 6-under (138).
For the round, Notre Dame’s Jacob Modleski, who won the ACC individual championship last season, fired a 7-under 65 for the day’s best round. The junior moved up 36 spots into a tie for ninth. Duke’s Ethan Evans and Florida State’s Tyler Weaver carded matching 66s, as both players climbed into the top 10.
The 2026 ACC Men’s Golf Championship continues Saturday at 9 a.m. ET with the third and final round of stroke play. The top eight teams from stroke play will advance to the match play quarterfinals set for Sunday at 8:30 a.m. ET.
