PANAMA CITY, Fla. (theACC.com) – After a lengthy weather delay, play was suspended during the match play semifinals of the 2026 ACC Men’s Golf Championship due to darkness at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course at Watersound Club.
The semifinals will resume at 8:30 a.m. ET on Monday, April 27, with the match play final immediately following the conclusion. All the action will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
Fifth-seeded Florida State leads top-seeded Stanford, 2-1, with two matches still to be played. FSU’s Tyler Weaver got the Seminoles on the board first with a 4&3 win, while teammate Patrick McCann added a 3&1 win. Stanford’s Ethan Gao closed out his match with a 1-up win over Jack Whaley.
In the second semifinal featuring second-seeded Virginia and third-seeded North Carolina, the Cavaliers lead in two matches, while the Tar Heels lead in one match. Two matches are tied heading into Monday.
The semifinals got fully underway right after a 90-minute delay for storms. Stanford advanced with a 3-1 win over eighth-seeded Duke, while Florida State upset fourth-seeded Georgia Tech, 3-2. On the other side of the bracket, Virginia blanked seventh-seeded Louisville, 3-0, while North Carolina outlasted sixth-seeded Clemson, 3-2.
