Ten ACC Teams Earn Bids to 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Headlined by the No. 1 overall seed Stanford, a total of 10 Atlantic Coast Conference teams earned bids into the regionals of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, announced by the selection committee on Wednesday.

The Cardinal was the lone ACC team to earn a top seed, while Duke (Ann Arbor Regional), North Carolina (Chapel Hill Regional) and Wake Forest (Tallahassee Regional) all earned No. 2 seeds. Also in the field are No. 4 seeds Florida State and SMU, No. 6 seeds Virginia and Virginia Tech and No. 8 seeds NC State and Clemson. Four of the six regionals will be hosted by ACC schools, while at least one ACC team will be represented at all six regional sites.

In addition to the teams, California’s Adora Liu earned a spot in the Stanford Regional as an individual.

During the 2025-26 regular season, ACC teams combined to win 26 tournaments, while league players won 23 individual titles. The ACC enters the postseason with six teams in the latest Scoreboard rankings, released on April 28: No. 1 Stanford, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 10 Duke, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 21 SMU and No. 25 Florida State.

Regional play will take place May 11-13 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. The Golf Channel will broadcast the final three days of the NCAA Championship.

After a conference-record 12 teams earned spots in regionals, four ACC teams advanced to the NCAA Championship last season. Stanford, which was in its first season in the ACC, advanced to the match play final before falling to Northwestern.
