CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – A total of 10 Atlantic Coast Conference women’s golf teams head to the regionals in search of a spot in the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships. Regional action begins Monday, May 11, and concludes with the final round on Wednesday, May 13.
All six regional sites feature 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. The Golf Channel will broadcast the final three days of the NCAA Championship.
In addition to the 10 ACC teams continuing their postseason campaigns, California’s Adora Liu earned a spot in the Stanford Regional as an individual.
Six of the 10 ACC teams in the field earned top four seeds, led by top-ranked Stanford, earning the No. 1 seed in the Stanford Regional. Duke (Ann Arbor Regional), North Carolina (Chapel Hill Regional) and Wake Forest (Tallahassee Regional) earned No. 2 seeds, while Florida State (Tallahassee Regional) and SMU (Waco Regional) will be No. 4 seeds. Virginia (No. 6 seed), Virginia Tech (No. 6), NC State (No. 8) and Clemson (No. 8) round out the ACC contingent.
Last season, four ACC teams advanced to the NCAA Championships, with Stanford, Florida State and Virginia all earning a spot in the match play quarterfinals. The Cardinal advanced to the national championship match, but fell to Northwestern, 3-2.

- Stanford won the 2026 ACC Championship, its first-ever ACC crown in program history. The Cardinal defeated SMU, 3-0, in the final.
- Stanford junior Paula Martín Sampedro was named the 2026 ACC Women’s Golfer of the Year, while Duke’s Rianne Malixi was voted ACC Freshman of the Year by the league’s head coaches. In addition, Cardinal head coach Anne Walker was named ACC Coach of the Year.
- In the final spring edition of the Mizuno Women’s Golf Coaches Association Coaches Poll released on May 1, five ACC teams were listed, headlined by Stanford at No. 1. Wake Forest is No. 9, Duke is No. 11, North Carolina is No. 12 and SMU is No. 19. Florida State is receiving votes.
- The ACC has six teams ranked in the top 25 in the most recent Scoreboard rankings powered by Clippd (May 6), highlighted by Stanford at No. 1. Also ranked in the top 25 are Wake Forest (No. 9), Duke (No. 10), North Carolina (No. 12), SMU (No. 21) and Florida State (No. 25).
- In the most recent Scoreboard powered by Clippd Individual Rankings (May 6), eight ACC players landed in the top 25, including five players in the top 10. The ranking include No. 4 Paula Martín Sampedro (Stanford), No. 6 Andrea Revuelta (Stanford), No. 7 Rianne Malixi (Duke), No. 9 Megha Ganne (Stanford), No. 13 Meja Örtengren (Stanford), No. 18 Kelly Xu (Stanford), No. 19 Macy Pate (Wake Forest) and No. 22 Marie Madsen (NC State).
- Four ACC players, all from Stanford, are in the top 10 of the latest World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR): No. 2 Paula Martín Sampedro, No. 3 Andrea Revuelta, No. 6 Meja Örtengren and No. 10 Megha Ganne. Within the top 25 are No. 14 Rianne Malixi (Duke), No. 18 Kelly Xu (Stanford) and No. 20 Marie Madsen (NC State).
- Four ACC players finished in the top 20 of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, headlined by Stanford’s Andrea Revuelta, who finished as the runner-up. Stanford teammates Meja Örtengren tied for fourth, while Paula Martín Sampedro placed ninth and Wake Forest’s Chloe Kovelesky tied for 17th. A total of 16 current and former players from the ACC played in this year’s event.
- Throughout the 2025-26 regular season, ACC teams compiled 26 team titles, led by Stanford with five championships on the year.
- Individually, ACC players combined to win 23 medalist honors this season, as NC State’s Marie Madsen led the way with three individual titles.
- Stanford’s Paula Martín Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta and Megha Ganne and Duke’s Rianne Malixi were named to the Division I PING WGCA Player of the Year Watch List.
- Duke’s Rianne Malixi is one of the three freshmen in the country to be named to the Division I WGCA Freshman of the Year Presented by StrackaLine Watch List.
- A total of seven ACC players were named to the 2026 Annika Award Spring Watch List: Megha Ganne (Stanford), Marie Madsen (NC State), Meja Örtengren (Stanford), Macy Pate (Wake Forest), Andrea Revuelta (Stanford), Paula Martín Sampedro (Stanford) and Kelly Xu (Stanford).
