CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Following the conclusion of Thursday’s regular-season matches, the bracket and seeds for the 2025 Ally Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Championship are set.
After finishing the regular season unbeaten with a 9-0-1 league record and 28 points, Stanford claimed the regular-season title and earned the No. 1 seed for the first time in program history. The Cardinal, who have not been ranked below No. 3 nationally since the start of the season, enter the postseason on a nine-match winning streak and have outscored their last three opponents 16-5. Earning its first trip to the Ally ACC Women’s Soccer Championship, Stanford earned a first-round bye and a spot in the semifinals.
Also earning a first-round bye, Notre Dame earned the No. 2 seed with an 8-1-1 conference mark and 25 points. The trip to the semifinals marks the third time in the last four seasons that the Fighting Irish have clinched a first-round bye in the conference tournament.
Riding a six-match winning streak into the postseason, Duke secured the No. 3 seed with a 7-3 league record and 21 points. The Blue Devils capped off October with a perfect 6-0 record, having not suffered a setback since September 25. During the span, Duke has outscored its opponents 19-7, as it will host a first-round match on Sunday, November 2.
Florida State, Virginia and Louisville all finished tied for fourth in the final regular-season standings with identical 6-2-2 conference records and 20 points apiece. The Seminoles defeated both the Cavaliers and the Cardinals during the regular season, earning the tiebreaker and the No. 4 seed. Florida State will host a first-round matchup on Sunday, as it looks for its fifth straight ACC title.
Virginia and Louisville tied during the regular season and both teams had three wins against common opponents, as the tiebreaker went to goal differential. UVA earned the No. 5 seed with a +11 goal differential, while Louisville finished at +7.
Sunday’s first-round action begins at 6 p.m. ET with Louisville at Duke, while Florida State hosts Virginia at 8 p.m. ET. Both matches will air live on ACC Network.
The postseason continues Thursday, November 6, with semifinal action at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, as Stanford and Notre Dame await the first-round winners. Kickoff times will be announced following Sunday’s matches.
The championship final is set for Sunday, November 9, at noon ET on ESPNU, also at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park. It marks the eighth straight year the ACC Champion will be crowned in Cary, North Carolina.
All six teams in this year’s field are ranked inside the top 25 of the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll: Notre Dame (No. 1), Stanford (No. 2), Florida State (No. 6), Virginia (No. 7), Duke (No. 10) and Louisville (No. 21).
