This Week in ACC Softball

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The fourth weekend of the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball season continues with 56 games over the course of four days, beginning this Thursday, February 26, as five ACC programs take the field.

This weekend’s games are highlighted by two linear matchups, as Georgia Tech hosts Notre Dame on Friday, February 27, at 5 p.m. ET and No. 13 Stanford heads to Louisville, Kentucky, to take on the Cardinals at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 2. Both games will be broadcast live on ACC Network.

The ACC had five teams in the Week 3 ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll, headlined by Florida State at No. 10. Joining the Seminoles were Virginia Tech at No. 12, Stanford at No. 13, Duke at No. 20 and Virginia at No. 21.

Noting ACC Softball
  • North Carolina is one of just five teams in the nation to remain undefeated, with a 14-0 record. The Tar Heels lead the nation in batting average (0.439) and win-loss percentage (1.000).
  • ACC Softball collected eight wins over ranked teams on Opening Weekend.
  • Florida State was voted the preseason favorite to win the 2026 ACC Softball title by the league’s 15 head coaches.
  • Seven members of the Preseason All-ACC softball team were named to the USA Softball Top 50 Watch List for the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. Among the list are: Jaysoni Beachum (Florida State), Macey Cintron (Clemson), Jazzy Francik (Florida State), Kennedy Harp (Florida State), River Mahler (Stanford), Aminah Vega (Duke) and Isa Torres (Florida State).
  • Virginia will host the 2026 ACC Softball Championship from Wednesday, May 6, to Saturday, May 9, at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
